# Keep pages out of the cache

> Stop Super Cache from caching pages that change per visitor, by picking them, by path, or from the editor. (Pro)

A cached page is the same for everyone. That's what makes it fast, and it's why anything personal must stay out of the cache. Super Cache already skips logged-in users, shoppers with a cart, cart and checkout pages, and any page that sets a cookie. See [what is never cached](https://arraystory.com/docs/ajaxpress/cloudflare-super-cache/#what-is-never-cached).

Use **Pages to never cache**, on **Settings → AjaxPress → Cache**, for anything else that changes per visitor.

## What to exclude

- Members-only or personalised pages that don't require a WordPress login (for example, content unlocked by a code or a cookie from another plugin).
- Pages that show live or random content that must be fresh on every visit: stock levels, countdowns, "who's online".
- Pages with a form that includes a per-visit token, if the form fails on cached copies.
- Thank-you or confirmation pages that show details from the visitor's own submission.

Most sites need nothing here.

## Pick pages, posts and archives

Start typing in **Search pages, posts, categories, tags…** and choose from the list. You can pick:

- any **page** or **post**;
- a **category** or **tag**, which also excludes every post in it;
- built-in screens: **Home page**, **Blog / posts page**, **Search results**, **Author archives**, and the archive of each post type (such as **Products archive**).

## Match by path

For groups of addresses, enter paths, one per line. A path matches that page; add `*` at the end to match everything that starts with it:

```text
/thank-you
/members/*
/account-area/*
```

Enter paths only, without your domain.

## From the editor

While editing a page or post, the **AjaxPress Cache** panel (in the block editor's sidebar, or a box in the classic editor) has a **Don't cache this page** checkbox. It's a quick way to exclude a single page, and it works even before you've connected Cloudflare.

## When it takes effect

As soon as you save. The cache checks your exclusions before it serves anything, so an excluded page goes straight to your server from then on, even if a copy was cached earlier.

## Developers

For rules in code, such as a whole section of the site or a cookie set by another plugin, use the `ajaxpress_cf_bypass_patterns` and `ajaxpress_cf_bypass_cookies` filters. See [PHP hooks and filters](https://arraystory.com/docs/ajaxpress/php-hooks-and-filters/#super-cache-by-cloudflare-pro).
