# Manage your license

> Activate, deactivate and move your AjaxPress Pro license, read the License tab, and what happens when a license expires.

Your AjaxPress Pro license key unlocks the Pro features on a site, and brings you Pro updates and priority support. Everything about it is on **Settings → AjaxPress → License**.

## Activate

1. Install and activate [AjaxPress Pro](https://arraystory.com/docs/ajaxpress/ajaxpress-pro/).
2. On **Settings → AjaxPress → License**, paste your key and click **Activate**.

Your key is in your purchase email, and in your account at [arraystory.com/account](https://arraystory.com/account/).

## The License tab

Once active, **License Details** shows:

| Item | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| **Plan** | Personal or Agency, for example |
| **Type** | Yearly or Lifetime |
| **Activations** | Sites using this key, out of how many your plan allows |
| **Remaining** | Activations left |
| **Expires** | When updates and support end (Never for lifetime plans) |

**Account Dashboard** opens your arraystory.com account; **Priority Support** opens the support page.

## Move to another site or domain

Each activation belongs to one site. To move:

1. On the old site, go to **Settings → AjaxPress → License** and click **Deactivate**, then confirm. The activation is freed.
2. On the new site, activate the same key.

If the old site is already gone, email [support@arraystory.com](mailto:support@arraystory.com) with your license email, and we'll free the activation for you.

## Staging and local copies

Activating a key uses an activation, whatever the site is. If you don't need Pro features on a staging or local copy, don't activate the key there. See [Privacy and data](https://arraystory.com/docs/ajaxpress/privacy-and-data/) for what activating sends.

## Upgrade or buy more activations

Click **See plans and pricing** on the License tab, or visit your [account](https://arraystory.com/account/). Buying from the License tab activates the new key on that site automatically when the checkout sends you back.

## When a license expires

- **Updates and priority support stop** after the expiry date. The version you have keeps working.
- **Pro features stay on until AjaxPress re-checks the license** with our licensing service and finds it's no longer active. Then your site falls back to the free features. Your Pro settings are kept, and come back when you renew.
- **Super Cache by Cloudflare keeps running**, and keeps clearing pages when you edit, so a lapsed license never leaves your site serving stale pages. You can still [disconnect it](https://arraystory.com/docs/ajaxpress/disconnect-super-cache/) at any time.

Lifetime licenses don't expire.
