AjaxPress doesn't change what search engines see. Your SEO plugin keeps working as it does now: Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO, SEOPress, The SEO Framework and others.

## What search engines get

**Crawlers get your normal pages, without AjaxPress.** When Googlebot, Bingbot, DuckDuckBot, Applebot, Yandex, Baidu and other major crawlers visit, AjaxPress doesn't load at all. They see exactly the page your theme and SEO plugin produce.

Social media previews work the same way: Facebook, LinkedIn and X (Twitter) fetch plain pages, with your Open Graph and card tags.

## What visitors get

For visitors, every page keeps its real address (no `#!` in URLs), and on every page change AjaxPress updates:

- the page **title** in the browser tab;
- the **canonical** link, **meta description** and **robots** tag;
- **Open Graph** and **Twitter card** tags;
- **JSON-LD structured data** (breadcrumbs, articles, products, FAQs).

So browser extensions, bookmark tools and sharing buttons always read the right page's details.

## Sitemaps, robots.txt and redirects

Unchanged. XML sitemaps, `robots.txt` and your SEO plugin's redirects are served by WordPress as usual.

A redirect that sends visitors to another page on your site works during ajax navigation too. A redirect to another domain ends in a normal page load.

## In testing tools

| Tool | What it shows |
| --- | --- |
| Google Search Console, **indexing** | The plain page, as crawled by Googlebot |
| Search Console **URL Inspection → Test live URL**, and the **Rich Results Test** | These use Google's inspection tool, which AjaxPress treats as a visitor. Your structured data is still found, because AjaxPress keeps it in the page |
| **PageSpeed Insights** and Lighthouse | The visitor version, AjaxPress included. See below |

### PageSpeed scores

PageSpeed Insights measures the first page a visitor loads. With AjaxPress, that first load does a little extra work to set up instant navigation, and every page after it is much faster, which PageSpeed doesn't measure. If your score changes noticeably, check that AjaxPress isn't delayed by an optimisation plugin: see [Caching and optimisation plugins](https://arraystory.com/docs/ajaxpress/caching-and-optimisation-plugins/).

## Frequently asked

**Will AjaxPress cause duplicate content?** No. Each page has one address. AjaxPress marks its internal framed copy with `noindex`, which only applies inside the frame, never to your page itself.

**Do I need to change anything in my SEO plugin?** No.

**Does it affect Core Web Vitals?** Real-visitor data (the Chrome UX report behind Search Console's Core Web Vitals) is based on full page loads. With AjaxPress, that's mostly the first page of each visit, since later pages don't reload. So keep that first load fast, as you would anyway: your theme, images and caching matter most.
