Install AjaxPress Pro
On this page
AjaxPress Pro is a separate plugin that adds Pro features to the free AjaxPress plugin. You need both: AjaxPress (free, from wordpress.org) and AjaxPress Pro (from your arraystory.com account).
Already a Pro customer? From AjaxPress 2.4.4, releasing on 15 October 2026, Pro features only work with the AjaxPress Pro plugin installed and active. Your license and settings carry over. See Moving to the AjaxPress Pro plugin.
Install
- Install and activate the free AjaxPress plugin, if you haven’t already: Install and set up AjaxPress.
- After buying, sign in to arraystory.com/account and download AjaxPress Pro from your downloads. It’s a zip file. Don’t unzip it.
- In your dashboard, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin, choose the zip, then click Install Now and Activate Plugin.
- Go to Settings → AjaxPress → License, paste your license key, and click Activate. Your key is in your purchase email and in your account.
The Pro settings unlock straight away. Until then, they’re shown with a Pro badge and can’t be changed.
Bought from the License tab itself (See plans and pricing)? When the checkout sends you back to your site, the new key is activated for you. If the payment is still being processed, AjaxPress tells you so, and the key is also emailed to you.
Check that it’s working
On Settings → AjaxPress → License, the status reads Active, and License Details shows your plan, how many activations you’ve used, and when the license expires. Settings that had a Pro badge can now be changed.
Updates
AjaxPress Pro updates like any other plugin. When a new version is out, it appears under Dashboard → Updates and on the Plugins screen, as long as your license is active. Update AjaxPress (free) and AjaxPress Pro whenever updates are offered. They are built to work together.
Good to know
- AjaxPress Pro needs AjaxPress. WordPress won’t let you activate Pro without the free plugin, and it hides the free plugin’s Deactivate link while Pro is active. To remove both, deactivate AjaxPress Pro first.
- Your Pro settings are kept. If you deactivate AjaxPress Pro, your site runs on the free features, and your Pro settings stay saved for when you turn it back on.
