- Sign-in, registration or password forms misbehave
- A search or filter form shows old results

- Still stuck?
Most forms work with AjaxPress without any setup. See Forms for how it handles them. When one doesn’t, the fix is usually one of these.
The form submits twice
You get two emails, two entries, or two orders.
- Update AjaxPress. Version 2.4.2 fixed the known cases, where a form plugin handles the submit at page level.
- Still twice? Opt the form out by adding
data-ajaxpress-ignore-submitto the form or an element around it:
<div data-ajaxpress-ignore-submit>
<!-- the form -->
</div>
The form stops before its confirmation message
The page changes or refreshes, but the “Thank you” message never shows, or the form comes back empty with no message. Same fix: update AjaxPress, then opt the form out.
A form with a file upload reloads the page
That’s expected. Forms with a file field always submit the normal way, because file uploads need a real submission.
The form redirects to the wrong place, or to a blank page
Forms that send visitors to another website after submitting, such as a payment provider or a booking service, need a normal page load. Opt the form out, or add the page it posts to under Exclude Links. If a blank page appears, see A page is blank.
Sign-in, registration or password forms misbehave
The visitor seems logged out after signing in, the form loops back, or a two-factor step doesn’t appear. Turn on Full Page Reload on Login & Registration.
A search or filter form shows old results
Clear your page cache. If the results still don’t change, check whether the filter plugin updates results with its own script. If it does, and the results flash and disappear, opt the filter form out.
“Your session has expired” or “Nonce verification failed”
A form’s security token was cached with the page. This isn’t caused by AjaxPress, but it shows up more when pages are cached for a long time. Exclude that page from your page cache (and from Super Cache, if you use it).
Still stuck?
Report it with the form plugin’s name and version, and a page where we can see the form.
