General
Will AjaxPress hurt my SEO?
No. Every page keeps its real address, crawlers get plain pages without AjaxPress, and titles, canonical links, meta descriptions, social tags and structured data update on every page change. See SEO and SEO plugins.
Does it slow my site down?
No. AjaxPress adds one small script and stylesheet, loaded once per visit. After that, pages change without reloading the header, footer, fonts and scripts, and with prefetch (Pro) they’re often ready before the click.
Do sliders, galleries and other scripts need to be re-initialised?
No. Each page loads as a complete page with all of its scripts, so everything runs as it does without AjaxPress.
Does it work with my theme, caching plugin and SEO plugin?
Yes, with the usual ones: Astra, GeneratePress, Kadence, Divi, Avada, OceanWP, Blocksy, Neve, Flatsome, Storefront and block themes; WP Rocket, LiteSpeed Cache, W3 Total Cache, WP Super Cache, SiteGround Optimizer; Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO, SEOPress. If a plugin delays JavaScript, see Caching and optimisation plugins.
Does it work on phones?
Yes: all modern browsers, on desktop, tablet and mobile. Prefetch needs a mouse to hover, so it only helps on desktop.
Does it work with WooCommerce?
Yes: shop pages, mini carts, ajax add to cart, cart, checkout and My Account. See WooCommerce, logins and membership sites.
Does it work with WPML or Polylang?
Yes. See Multilingual sites.
Can I turn AjaxPress off on certain pages?
Yes. Add them to Exclude Links. Links to those pages then load the normal way.
Can I use it on a multisite network?
Yes. Network-activate it, or activate it on each site that should use it. Each site has its own settings. An AjaxPress Pro license activation is per site.
Players
Will my radio or podcast keep playing?
Yes, if the player is on every page and marked as persistent. See Keep audio or video playing across pages. That’s free.
Why does the player restart sometimes?
Something caused a full page load: a reload, a link to another site or to wp-admin, an excluded page, or a language switch to another domain. See My player stopped working.
Can a video keep playing too?
Yes, including YouTube and Vimeo embeds and live streams. See Keep a video or live stream embed playing.
Pro
What does AjaxPress Pro add?
Media Players (auto-detect, or players named with a CSS selector), prefetch, full loader styling, the loading cursor, page transitions, Block Keyboard Reload, instant navigation in wp-admin, Super Cache by Cloudflare, settings export and import, and priority support. See What AjaxPress does.
Do I need Pro to keep a player playing?
No. Adding data-ajaxpress-persist to the player’s HTML is free. Pro adds Media Players, which finds your player automatically or takes a CSS selector, for players whose HTML you can’t edit. Check my player, which tells you whether your player is kept, is free.
What happens when my license expires?
Your site keeps working. Updates and priority support stop, and once the license is found inactive, Pro features fall back to the free ones, with your settings kept. See Manage your license.
Privacy
Does AjaxPress collect data about my visitors?
No. Nothing is collected from your site’s front end, and AjaxPress sets no cookies for visitors. See Privacy and data.
