Privacy and data

On this page

AjaxPress doesn’t send anything anywhere on its own. Every request on this page happens only after you allow it, or when you click the button that does it. None of it involves your visitors: nothing is collected from your site’s front end, and AjaxPress sets no cookies for visitors.

Diagnostics: only if you choose Allow

AjaxPress asks once, in a bar on its settings screen, whether you’ll share diagnostics. You can change your answer at any time under Settings → AjaxPress → Help → Feedback → Share usage & diagnostic data.

If you choose Allow:

  • Your site title, home address, admin email, active plugins and theme, WordPress, PHP and MySQL versions, server software, language, timezone and browser user agent are sent to arraystory.com, so we can reproduce and fix problems faster.
  • Install and uninstall counts (your site’s address and the AjaxPress, WordPress and PHP versions), and, once a day, which AjaxPress features are switched on (with your license key, if you have one), are sent to api.packedge.dev, our licensing and analytics service.

If you choose Deny, nothing is sent.

Feedback: only when you submit it

The optional form shown when you deactivate AjaxPress, and the feedback form under Help → Feedback, send your answer, your comment, your site’s address and the site details listed in the form to api.packedge.dev. Skipping the form sends nothing.

Licenses and purchases: only when you use them

  • Activating or deactivating a license key sends the key and your site’s address to api.packedge.dev. While a key is active, AjaxPress re-checks it about once an hour while you’re in its settings.
  • Plans and prices load from api.packedge.dev only when you click See plans and pricing. Buying opens PackEdge’s checkout page.
  • Download AjaxPress Pro (the button in the 2.4.3 notice) asks api.packedge.dev for the AjaxPress Pro package for your license, sending your license key and site address, and your browser downloads it. AjaxPress never installs anything by itself.
  • Updates to AjaxPress Pro are checked with api.packedge.dev, sending your license key and site address, the same way WordPress checks for other plugin updates.

Video tutorials: only when you open one

Help → Tutorials plays videos from YouTube. Nothing loads from YouTube until you open a video. See Google’s privacy policy.

Super Cache by Cloudflare: only when you connect

If you connect a Cloudflare account on the Cache tab, AjaxPress talks to the Cloudflare API (api.cloudflare.com) on your behalf, to find your site’s zone, install the cache Worker, and purge pages. Nothing is sent to Cloudflare until you connect.

The one-click Connect with Cloudflare step passes through a small authorization relay we run at ajaxpress-oauth.astory.workers.dev. It exists so that a secret key never has to ship inside the plugin. It exchanges Cloudflare’s one-time code for an access token and hands it straight back to your site, which stores it encrypted in your database.

See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Your visitors

On your site’s front end, AjaxPress only changes how pages load. It doesn’t collect, store or send anything about visitors, and it adds no tracking. Your own analytics and consent tools keep working as they did. See Analytics, Tag Manager and consent banners.
